Isoko Youth Assembly Launches Skills Acquisition Program to Empower Youths

The Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide (IYA) has officially launched the Isoko Youth Community Skills Acquisition Training Program at Olomoro Community, located in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. This initiative is designed to support the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovwori, Governor of Delta State, and it aims to empower Isoko youths by equipping them with essential skills for self-reliance.

The program, which commenced on June 15, 2024, is set to train youths across all 24 clans within the Isoko South and North Federal Constituency. By aligning with Governor Oborovwori’s developmental goals for Delta State, the IYA hopes to foster personal and community growth.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Comrade Prince Matthew Olomu, President of the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide, officially kick-started the training program. He was accompanied by key members of the National Working Committee, including Prince M. Ogologo (Board of Trustees member), Comrade Miss Anthonia Uku (National IYA Treasurer), and other executive members. The program was inaugurated at the Blessvel-Glan Beauty Concepts Training Centre on Oleh/Olomoro Old Road in Olomoro Community, Isoko South Local Government Area.

During the event, President Comrade Prince Matthew Olomu urged the trainees to fully engage in the skills acquisition program, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance upon completion. He encouraged the participants to seize this opportunity to better their lives and contribute positively to the development of the Isoko Nation.

This initiative marks a significant step in empowering the youth of Isoko through skill development, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for the community.
