Isoko Youth Community Skills Acquisition Training Program

The Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide (IYA) has officially launched the Isoko Youth Community Skills Acquisition Training Program in Olomoro Community, located in Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State. This groundbreaking initiative is aimed at supporting the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State. The program is designed to empower Isoko youths by providing them with essential skills to achieve self-reliance and economic independence.

Program Overview

The Skills Acquisition Program, which began on June 15, 2024, targets youths across all 24 clans within the Isoko South and North Federal Constituency. By aligning the program with Governor Oborevwori’s developmental goals for Delta State, IYA seeks to nurture personal growth and foster community advancement, equipping young people with skills that are vital for both personal and societal progress.

Program Launch

On August 21, 2024, the program was officially launched by Comrade Prince Matthew Olomu, President of the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide. He was joined by key figures including members of the National Working Committee, Prince M. Ogologo (Board of Trustees member), Comrade Miss Anthonia Uku (National IYA Treasurer), and other executive leaders. The inauguration took place at the Blessvel-Glan Beauty Concepts Training Centre, located on Oleh/Olomoro Old Road in Olomoro Community.

Empowering Youths for the Future

During the launch, President Comrade Prince Matthew Olomu emphasized the program’s importance in promoting self-reliance among Isoko youths. He encouraged the trainees to fully engage in the learning process, stressing that the skills they acquire would empower them to build better futures for themselves and contribute to the overall development of the Isoko Nation.

He reminded the participants that this initiative is not only about acquiring skills but also about building a sustainable future for the community by fostering self-reliant individuals who can drive positive change in society.
